Dreaming of Mexico… Sunrise at Cabo and added color inspires painting ideas

I remember this one morning. standing out on a balcony, overlooking the seaside of Cabo San Lucas. Now it is one of those “wish I was there right now” memories, which is good. Maybe I will go back there someday.

I like playing around with color in Photoshop. My beginning photo lent a little hint that I could give myself a new idea for a painting. In came some blue/greens and a touch of purple here and there. This result gives me a lot of new color inspiration for the image. The future painting will probably be a further departure, a good deal different from this image. That’s fine, it’s this new idea that makes a good start for me.
