Chuck Jones and Matisse

When I was a child, there was nothing better than Disney and Warner Brothers Animation. It most likely made a great impression not just with the idea that art and drawings are for fun, but in the realm of color as well.

Chuck Jones created the Wiley Coyote cartoons you see here. How amazing that his color palette at the left with Coyote is so similar to the Matisse Pear study I’ve previously shown on this blog.

I will let you draw your own conclusions here. I’m just enjoying this.
